Three years old echo
Three years ago I was finishing the CD-ROM Math Landscapes
when it had happened. The moral impact had been so strong that the disk
had received an unexpected and non-mathematical directory
lastmoment. Among the materials that found its way to that
directory there are three articles that can be found nowadays in the
Internet: the famous letter of Tamim Ansary; an article by Robert Fisk;
a file from the site of William Cooper; an essay by Michael Rivero.
Still, there have been points that in my opinion had not been touched,
so I have written down some reflections.
Some people might have read it - those who had received my disk.
Three years after nine-eleven I see that the text makes
enough sense to justify its inclusion into my internet pages.
Here it is.
